Young people at Castlebrae from S2 through to S6 are currently considering their learning pathways and making decisions about subjects to study next session as well as thinking about their future careers.
A Course Fair event takes place on Thursday 8th February at the school in the afternoon, with a presentation about the Curriculum at Castlebrae beginning at 2pm. Parents and Carers are very welcome to attend and support their child in the process of thinking about learner pathways and then visiting the Course Fair to discuss options with Castlebrae staff and partners.
To support this process a booklet detailing courses being offered has been published and can be downloaded and viewed via the link below.
Also available for viewing online (links below) are the first drafts of both the S2 to S3 and Senior Phase Column Choice documents which will be completed by our young people during the Course Fair. This will be a first indicator as to how the Curriculum will be organised for next session to best meet the needs of our students.
The Course Fair will last for the afternoon and then will be closely followed by the Senior Phase (S4, S5 and S6) Parents’ Evening which begins at 4pm. Senior Phase reports will be issued Wednesday 7th February in preparation for this and students have been issued with appointment sheets and should be making appointments with all their teachers.
